ജനുവരി മുതല്‍ ഏപ്രില്‍ വരെയുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസ് കണക്കുകള്‍
കൊവിഡ് അനന്തരം മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ മാര്‍ക്കറ്റ് നേടിയ ഒരു വളര്‍ച്ചയുണ്ട്. ഒടിടിയിലൂടെ മറുഭാഷാ പ്രേക്ഷകരും പരിചയപ്പെട്ടു എന്നതിനൊപ്പം കേരളത്തിന് പുറത്ത് മറ്റ് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലുമായുള്ള റിലീസ് സെന്‍ററുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിലും ഇക്കാലയളവില്‍ വലിയ വ്യത്യാസമാണ് ഉണ്ടായത്. രാജ്യമൊട്ടാകെയുള്ള നിരൂപകരില്‍ നിന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന മികച്ച അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും മലയാള സിനിമയെ ബഹുഭാഷാ കാണികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ഉയരെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു. മുന്‍പ് ഇല്ലാത്ത വിധം മറുഭാഷാ പ്രേക്ഷകരും മലയാളത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ശ്രദ്ധേയ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ തിയറ്ററുകളിലെത്തി കാണുന്ന സാഹചര്യവും ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. നിലവില്‍ അത് എണ്ണത്തില്‍ കുറവാണെങ്കിലും (മ‍ഞ്ഞുമ്മല്‍ ബോയ്സ്, പ്രേമലു, മാര്‍ക്കോ തുടങ്ങിയ അപവാദങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ട്) ഭാവിയില്‍ അക്കാര്യത്തിലും വലിയ വ്യത്യാസം വന്നേക്കാം. ഇപ്പോഴിതാ 2025 ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസില്‍ ഇതുവരെയുള്ള കണക്കിലെ മോളിവുഡ്- കോളിവുഡ് താരതമ്യം ശ്രദ്ധ നേടുകയാണ്.
പ്രമുഖ മീഡിയ കണ്‍സള്‍ട്ടിംഗ് സ്ഥാപനമായ ഓര്‍മാക്സ് മീഡിയ പുറത്തുവിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസ് കണക്കുകള്‍ പ്രകാരം ജനുവരി മുതല്‍ ഏപ്രില്‍ വരെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസില്‍ വിവിധ ഭാഷാ സിനിമകള്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന് നേടിയ കളക്ഷന്‍ 3691 കോടി രൂപയാണ്. 2024 ഇതേസമയത്തേക്കാള്‍ 19 ശതമാനം കൂടുതലാണ് ഇത്. ഇതില്‍ വ്യത്യസ്ത ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രികളുടെ ഷെയര്‍ പരിശോധിച്ചാല്‍ 39 ശതമാനം ഷെയറുമായി ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത് ബോളിവുഡ് ആണ്. 22 ശതമാനം ഷെയറുമായി തെലുങ്ക് രണ്ടാമതും. തമിഴ്, മലയാളം സിനിമകള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ വെറും 4 ശതമാനത്തിന്‍റെ വ്യത്യാസം മാത്രമാണ് കളക്ഷനില്‍ ഉള്ളത് എന്നതും ശ്രദ്ധേയം.
17 ശതമാനം ഷെയറുമായി മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്താണ് കോളിവുഡ് എങ്കില്‍ 13 ശതമാനം ഷെയര്‍ ആണ് മലയാളത്തിന് ഉള്ളത്. ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രിയുടെ വലിപ്പവും സിനിമകളുടെ ആകെ ബജറ്റും പരിഗണിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കോളിവുഡിനേക്കാള്‍ സക്സസ് റേറ്റ് മലയാളത്തിനാണെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കാനാവും. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ബോക്സ് ഓഫീസില്‍ മലയാള സിനിമ അതിന്‍റെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ഷെയറുമായാണ് നിലവില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നതെന്നതും ഓര്‍മാക്സിന്‍റെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നുണ്ട്. മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് മികച്ച വര്‍ഷമായിരുന്ന 2024 ല്‍ ഇത് 10 ശതമാനം ആയിരുന്നു. അടുത്തടുത്ത് എത്തിയ രണ്ട് മോഹന്‍ലാല്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് (എമ്പുരാന്‍, തുടരും) മലയാള സിനിമയെ കണക്ക് പുസ്തകത്തിലെ ഈ നേട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
